Application of cemented carbide
(1) tool material
Cemented carbide has the largest number of tool materials, and can be used for turning tools, milling cutters, planing knives, drill bits, etc. Tungsten cobalt cemented carbide is suitable for the processing of black metal, non-ferrous metal and the processing of non-metallic materials, such as cast iron, cast brass, bakelite, and so on. Tungsten titanium cobalt cemented carbide is suitable for long chip processing of steel and other black metals. In the same alloy, cobalt content is more suitable for rough machining, and cobalt content is less suitable for finishing. General cemented carbide is much longer than stainless steel and other hard alloy materials.
(2) mold material
Cemented carbide is mainly used as cold drawing die, cold punching die, cold extruding die, cold pier mould and so on.
The commonness of hard alloy cold heading die under the conditions of abrasion resistance to impact or strong impact is that it requires hard alloy to have better impact toughness, fracture toughness, fatigue strength, bending strength and good wear resistance. Medium and high cobalt and medium and coarse grained alloy grades are commonly used, such as YG15C.
